Sideboard von Franz Ehrlich für Hellerau, 1960er
A sideboard from the 1960s, produced by Hellerau after a design by Franz Ehrlich. The chest of drawers comes from the 602 series, which was a German response to Scandinavian 1960s simplicity, shapes, and modernity in design. Ehrlich was a designer, graphic designer, and architect who was a pupil and assistant at the Bauhaus School in Dessau. In 1934 he was sentenced to conspiracy and two years later he was sent to a camp in Buchenwald.
